The bureau The Information Commissioner's Office ('ICO') announced, on 8 March 2018, that it had raided an office and a house in Greater Manchester as part of an ongoing investigation into companies suspected of sending over 11 million unsolicited text messages between January 2017 and January 2018, which resulted in the ICO receiving over 3,000 complaints.
